Pnumatic hybrid electric vehical
This is an interesting one. Instead of a gasolin-electric hybrid, a Korean company named Energine has created a pnumatic-electric hybrid. The pnumatic motor (a motor powered by air for those of you who don’t know) is used to start the car and power it up hill and when accelerating, but the electric motor is used once the car reaches 12-15 mph. The advantages are obviously the removal of the pollution factor as well as making the engine more effecient. It’s a great idea, though I doubt that Americans will be driving it anytime soon.
