Accoding to the Personal Democracy Forum the San Francisco Board of Supervisors will be voting on the 5th whether or not to pass a city ordinance which would require the city’s bloggers to register with the city Ethics Commision and report all blog related expenses that exceed $1,000. While this only applies to bloggers discussing candidates for local offices, which is in reaction to events that occured during the last election in that city, there is still a question of how much regulation should be placed on bloggers?

they have no life. I will blog about what i want, when i want, and spend what i want on what i want and i won’t report it to big brother.
I believe what they are attempting is a real violation of (the first admendment) freedom of speech and press, I don’t live in california so i could technically care less, but the EFF can fight it.
